Montezuma

Montezuma is a small quaint village at the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, nestled into a breathtaking tropical landscape and pristine coast.

Formerly a tiny fishing village, about 20 years ago Montezuma started to get noticed by young travelers because of its tranquil atmosphere and beautiful beach location. Now it is home to an eclectic international community of artists, craftsmen, designers, bodyworkers, healers, dancers, chefs, etc. … and lately a surprising amount of fire dancers and acrobats!

Perhaps the best way to get to know our community is to stop by our Saturday morning organic farmer’s market, where local musicians will gather for impromptu jam sessions, and organic foods, crafts and flowers are sold.

The range of activities to be found in Montezuma is amazing. Something to please just about every traveler! Just a sample of the activities you can enjoy while visiting us:

Bodywork: yoga, dancing, fire dancing, acrobatics …

Healing and Pampering: spa, massages, Reiki healing, meditation …

Nature & Tours: swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, sport fishing, horseback riding, Tortuga Island tour, Curu Nature Reserve tour, Cabo Blanco National Park tour, canopy tour, ATV adventures, waterfall tour …

Village & Nightlife: cafes, shops, restaurants, bars …
