About the hotel

Casa Botania is a refreshing fine lodge in the beautiful highland countryside of Southern Costa Rica, about half way between the Wilson Botanical Garden / Las Cruces Biological Station and the town of San Vito de Coto Brus. This small family lodge, run by a Tico-Belgian family, is perched on a mountainside in the vicinity of San Vito and features a splendid and spacious view on the Coto Brus valley, as well as the primary forest reserve of Las Cruces, a prime birdwatching destination. The property itself has 3.5 hectares of reforested area, where you will find a small waterfall as you explore the adventurous forest trails.

The four rooms are made with care, which you’ll notice the  details. They are rustic on the outside with a cozy, comfortable and modern interior design that emphasizes natural materials. All the furniture is made out of local Black Walnut and crafted by experienced artisans of the region.
