The Resort "La Dolce Vita" is located on the beach in Esterillos Oeste, near Jaco and Manuel Antonio, facing the shore of the Pacific Ocean.
The beach of Esterillos Oeste, one of the best beaches in costa rica, is known for its natural beauty and for its surf waves that appeal surfers from all over the world. The Hotel has seven guestrooms, facing a wonderful garden and a swimming pool, designed in an exotic style that perfectly fits the natural environment.. Placed just in front of the ocean, the pool is a cool and relaxing oasis surrounded by an area furnished with comfortable chaises longue offering breathtaking view of the ocean. Diving and Snorkeling
Explore the crystal waters of Herradura's bay where you will admire a multitude of tropical fishes. The tours are scheduled in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and in the afternoon from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., waiting for the sunset. Moreover, there is the possibility to attend diving courses of all levels, with professional trained instructors.
If you chose to spend the whole day in the sea, we provide the Tortuga Island's tour, the best place in Costa Rica for immersions. The tour can be operated by boat, catamaran or trimaran, including lunch and all services. Please contact La Dolce Vita for enquiries.
Rafting and kayak
All levels rafting through mountains torrent besides Quepos. The duration of the tour varies from half or 1 day for beginners to 3-4 days for experts. The tour is scheduled to depart daily from Jacò at 6:00 or 7:00 a.m.
A transfer by kayak to the snorkeling spots in front of Herradura bay or Hermosa Beach is also offered. Pick up from Jacò at 7:35 a.m. or 1:35 p.m.
Ultralights

Horseback riding
Take advantage of two or three hour tour onto the Jacò and Herradura's beaches at sunset.

Esterillos Oeste

Playa Esterillos Oeste is located south of Playa Hermosa, the rocky Punta Judas divides the two beaches.
Esterillos Oeste can't be seen from the road, one needs to watch out not to miss the turn off. The 7 kilometer long beach is ideal for long walks or jogging. The waves are shallow and not so steep and fast like in Playa Hermosa, they are good for longboards.
Many surfers that live in Jaco prefer to surf the waves further south, in Hermosa or Esterillos.
Nevertheless not only surfers visit the beach, especially on the weekends Costa Rican families frequent this beach. It's one of the beaches in Costa Rica where the Ticos still outnumber the foreign tourists.
Swimmers should watch out for currents and maybe learn from the locals about possible dangers.
The northern end of the beach is craggy, from the beach you can spot a mermaid sitting on a rock. Accordingly this surf spot is called "La Sirena" (the mermaid), the waves break slowly to the right and are excellent for lonngboarders. This spot is best surfed in the morning during high tide, the waves break over a rocky bottom. Further to the left the bottom is sandy and the waves here are surf able too.
A protected tide pool can be found at the cliffy north part of the beach. During low tide the ocean uncovers numerous fossilizations.
