Plage de Sámara


La plage de Sámara est une magnifique plage de sable blanc, elle fait 7km de long, elle est très riche en jaune marine et offre de superbes couleurs. La plage est bordée par des rangées d’arbustes. À une distance d’environ 234 km de San José, la plage de Sámara est accessible en bus, en voiture et aussi en petit avion. On peut y observer de nombreux animaux comme le singe, l’iguane et oiseaux tropicaux.

Il est possible de réaliser diverses activités, comme l’équitation, la plongée, promenades en bateau, pêche ainsi que le vol en ULM. On trouve plus de vingt hôtels, pour tous les goûts et budgets.

L’hôtel Flying Crocodile est un petit hôtel très charmant situé près de la plage dans une baie naturelle, à environ 6km au nord de Samara, sur la péninsule de Nicoya. L’hôtel dispose de bungalows individuels dans un jardin tropical avec piscine et bar. Il y a également une piscine avec toboggan et un terrain de jeu pour les enfants, un trampoline, tennis de table, football, fléchettes, billard…

Mais la grande particularité de cet hôtel est qu’il dispose de l’unique centre d’ULM du Costa Rica. Vous pourrez voler au-dessus de la plage de Sámara et de la jungle du Costa Rica offrant une magnifique vue sur l’ensemble du paysage encore plus impressionnant vue d’en-haut. Cette expérience est vraiment à faire si vous aimez les sensations fortes et inoubliables.

Während meines letzten Trips zum ikonischen Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin, gelegen am Nationalpark Rincon de la Vieja in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, entschied ich einen kleinen Ausflug zum “Flying Crocodile” zu machen.

Flying Crocodile ist ein ziemlich einzigartiges Hotel in der nördlichen Pazifikregion Costa Ricas auf der Halbinsel Nicoya. Gelegen zwischen Samara und Nosara ist das Besondere von Flying Crocodile die eigene Landebahn und private Flug-Touren.

Begleitet von der französischen Studentin Meghann Gestain, die sich derzeit für ihr Studium in Costa Rica aufhält, machten wir uns auf den Weg die Schönheit und Faszination, die Flying Crocodile bietet, zu entdecken.

Bei unserer Ankunft am Flying Crocodile wurden wir sehr freundlich von zwei Mitgliedern aus dem Team begrüßt: Nikolai Ketterer aus Deutschland und Corinna Hofegger aus Österreich. Nachdem wir wertvolle Informationen über das Hotel und die Umgebung erhalten hatten, zeigten Nikolai und Corinna uns den Weg zur Flugzeughalle.

Erst einmal bei der Flugzeughalle angekommen, konnte ich kaum glauben, was ich dort vor mir sah! Vor meinen Augen befand sich ein eindrucksvoller AutoGyro MT-03, ausgestattet mit den neuesten Technologien und einem leistungsfähigen Rotax Antrieb. Meghann machte sich bereit um mit diesem ULTI064 Flugzeug und seinem Piloten Guido Scheidt zu fliegen.

Ich hatte die großartige Möglichkeit mit dem vom Turbo Rotax angetriebenen AutoGyro zu fliegen. Registriert unter ULTI063 wurde diese prächtige Flugmaschine vom erfahrenen deutschen Pilot Frank Nierhoff geflogen.

Sowohl der Abflug als auch die Landung dieses Flugzeugs waren einfach spektakulär. Auf elegante und geschmeidige Art und Weise hob AutoGyro uns anmutig vom Erdboden ab um zum wohl tollsten und vielfältigsten Flug über den glänzenden Pazifischen Ozean zu starten.

Ich als größter Luftfotografie-Fan, war in der Lage die wunderschönsten Bilder von Stränden wie zum Beispiel Playa Barrigona und Samara zu schießen. Nach einem 20 minütigen Flug war ich mehr als zufrieden mit der Erfahrung und dem perfekten Bild dieses besonderen Tages.

During my recent trip to the iconic Hacienda Guachipelin located near the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, I decided to take a little side trip to the Flying Crocodile.

The Flying Crocodile is quite a unique hotel located in Costa Rica’s North Pacific Nicoya Peninsula. Set between Samara and Nosara, the Flying Crocodile also stands out for having its own private landing strip and private air tours.

Accompanied by French student Meghann Gestain who is currently in Costa Rica studying horses, we set out to explore the beauty and excitement offered at the Flying Crocodile.

Upon our arrival at the Flying Crocodile, we were greeted by two friendly staff members: Nikolai Ketterer from Germany and Corinna Hofegger from Austria. After receiving valuable information about the hotel and the surroundings, Nikolai and Corina pointed the way to the hangars.

Once at the hangar of the Flying Crocodile, I couldn’t believe what I had in front of me! Elegantly sitting before my eyes was a formidable AutoGyro MT-03 equipped with the latest technology and a powerful Rotax engine. Meghann got to fly on this ULTI064 aircraft which was flown by Guido Scheidt.

I had the great opportunity to fly on an AutoGyro powered by a Turbo Rotax engine. Registered under ULTI063, this splendid flying machine was piloted by the experimented German pilot Frank Nierhoff.

Both the take off and landing of this aircraft was simply spectacular. In an elegant and smooth fashion, the AutoGyro gracefully lifted us from the ground into what would be the most amazing and versatile flight over the sparkling Pacific Ocean.

Being the major air photography buff that I am, I was able to snap the most wonderful pictures of Playa Barrigona and Samara among others. After a 20 minute flight, I was more than content with the experience and with a perfect picture of such a special day
